Day 2 - thank god for inventing digital
130 shots in less than 2 hours... I'm shutter-happy :)
The last few weeks in A2 I've been waking up eerily early, even though I had nothing to do. I thought there was something wrong with me... The spell is broken - I slept for 22 hours straight! This is my way of dealing with jet-lag.
I still needed to get a SIM card. Since I didn't get out of the house until almost 4 PM, I took pretty much the same route as yesterday, but extended it quite a bit after the SIM card stop: down on Montbrillant to La Poste, then to the train station (Gare de Cornavin)... Mont-Blanc to the Lake (actually, Pont du Mont-Blanc is where Le Rhône and Lac Léman meet). I then crossed the river to the old town. Not sure where exactly I went there - the streets are small, short, and often go around in circles, and so did I :) It's impossible to get lost though - you can always see the mountains or the fountain in the Lake.
It was getting late and a little chilly so I got back to Quai, walked around Jardin Anglais and Promenade du Lac, and went back home.
A note to the person who told me I shouldn't take all my lenses with me - I dislike you greatly! I was never a big fan of wide-angle, but Geneva begs for it and deserves it. Unfortunately, one of the two lenses that I ended up leaving is my super-fast super-sharp 28mm prime... Now I am stuck with not-so-fast 28 to 105 zoom. To add to my pain, D60 multiplies focal length by 1.6, so 45mm is as wide as I can go. Of course, my film body is sitting in Ypsi right next to the 28mm. I miss you dearly. We had so much fun together... I should have listened to my instincts and taken both of you with me.

Don't remember the name of the street either, but I believe the bus station (for travel outside of Geneva) should be behind that church.

Sorry, somehow it didn't click that they were gargoyles! Sarah, I am sorry, I don't think I'll ever be french-kissing gargoyles :)

I figured it out. It's on Rue du Mont-Blanc, right where Rue de Chantepoulet merges into it.
