Day 14 - wicker bike
Yesterday I accidentally wandered into the red light district. It was still fairly early - about 7 pm… I was walking down one of the streets near the train station and started noticing strangely dressed women just hanging out on the corners… It took me a little while to figure out what they were doing there :)… To answer your questions preemptively: no, I did not have my camera (and I wouldn’t have the guts to use it anyway), and no, I did not get propositioned.
And today I saw the coolest thing in my life – a wicker bicycle. It was so cute. I want one now. I finally saw Mont-Blanc, too.
I also found out that the sunsets aren't as cool as I thought they would be. The sun just disappears behind the mountains.
Oh, and there was an awesome fireworks show last night - I could see it from my apartment. Nobody knows why - it wasn't a holiday or anything. This weekend there is a boat show on the lake; this is the only semi-legitimate reason that I've heard so far.

I don't know. But I was there yesterday, and it is still there... Not locked... Too bad I am not a bicycle thief - I am so tempted to take it for a ride!

I say you knock on the door or stake it out and ask the owner if you can ride it. Maybe they can show you how to make one!

I'll think about it :) I wonder if it is a native craft of Geneva - making wicker bikes.
