Day 34 - nice weather again!
It finally stopped raining after 2 days... The weather was so nice and warm that I felt it would be a sin to just sit at home after work, especially since it doesn't get dark until about 10 PM. I figured if I left right after work I would still have at least 3 hours of daylight. The idea of going for a walk became even more attractive when I got home and discovered my landlord sitting in the kitchen with two handguns on the table in front of him. I am not kidding and this is not funny. Now, I don't know whether he was cleaning them or loading them, but the man is clearly schizophrenic with paranoid tendencies, and he might be a danger to society. Damn, he might be a danger to me!
Anyway, I didn't feel like staying there for a chat so I grabbed my camera and went to Jardin Botanique... It was very different than a couple of weeks ago (fewer flowers are blooming now), but beautiful nonetheless. I want to be the keeper of a Jardin Botanique when I grow up. A Botanical Garden just won't do, and since France doesn't want me, my options are limited to either Geneva or Montreal.
I wanted to go some place I haven't been to yet, so I went to the Lake through the tunnel and walked all the way down Rhone until I wasn't sure anymore whether I was still in Switzerland :)
I finally got lost - the first time since I got here! I was so positive that I knew which way to go to get home that I just kept walking down the streets I've never heard of... When I finally decided to look at the map I found out that I was walking away from Place des Nations for a while... Oh well, it was a nice area and a gorgeous night, so I didn't mind. It's not like I couldn't wait to see my landlord...

Make that two votes for chipmunk. There was one living under my driveway last summer. I don't know what happened to him.

I seriously need your pics in print form to decorate my condo. So pretty!
